The nominees are in for the
84th annual Academy Awards Christopher Plummer has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the comedy/drama film BEGINNERS by writer/director Mike Mills.

Christopher plays Hal, who – following 44 years of marriage – came out of the closet at age 75 to live a full, energized, and wonderfully tumultuous gay life. The upheavals of Hal’s new honesty, by turns funny and moving, brought father and son (Golden Globe Award nominee Ewan McGregor) closer than they’d ever been able to be.

'BEGINNERS' has also received a nomination for the GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Award in the category 'Outstanding Film - Wide release' earlier this month.
